The palatial architecture of Tetrarchy has been point of attention for many researchers since long time ago. In these years, several interpretation proposals have been exposed with a certain amount
of criticism and controversy. Together with the biased vision of what we know about the tetrarchic
palaces, there are sensible doubts about the exact palatial model. In spite of all this, we have to keep
on researching to study in depth all the aspects that, although not as a rule, affect to the shape of
such palaces.

There is no doubt that one of the problems that hinders the interpretation of the archaeological site of Cercadilla in Corduba is the fact
that it is an unicum. Among the various opinions that have been proposed, it has been claimed that Cercadilla might have been a private
villa, the seat of the Baetica’s Governor or of the vicarius Hispaniarum, or else the palace of the Bishop of Cordoba, especially linked to
the figure of Osio. These proposals are briefly analysed in this paper (they will discussed in more detail on other occasions), which will
also put forward some of the problems which invalidate their acceptance.

In this paper we present the results of the last excavation campaign developed at the site of Cercadilla (Córdoba). The intervention,
carried out in the area occupied by the thermal baths of the palace complex, dug mostly during the campaign
of 1993, was addressed as a prerequisite and essential for musealization reservoir, a project that has not been completed.

In this paper we analyse the architectonic configuration of the triconch triclinium in the palatium of Cordoba, paying
special attention to the interpretation of the documented structures inside. Our proposal is based on the possibility that
these structures were part of the transformation of the first conception and design of the triclinium during its construction.
Thus, the triabsidal room designed in the beginning began to be built but, in this very building process, it
would have been changed by a new room in which the former absides were substituted by rectagular exedrae. The
resulting room by these transformations is an original architectonic model, which could be compared in a sense to the
triclicnium of the Diocletian´s palace of Split.

We analyse the proposal of an identification on a Christian complex over the rests of the anphitheater in Cordoba. We carry out this study from the basis of the presence or absence of the signs that better allow to define the archaeological testimonies of Late Antique martyrial cult: tumulatio ad sanctos, undoubtly Christian architecture, Christian architectural sculpture and finally, the epigraphy or literary sources indicating this fact. The abscence of the minimum satisfactory evidencies in any of these analysed variables, allows us to conclude that there are no arguments to support a hypothetic Christian complex in the amphitheater of Cordoba.

The excavations carried out in the Teatro Greco of Hadrian’s Villa in the 2011
campaign, have been mainly focused in the action development in two areas of the building.
On the one hand, in the scaena we have concentrated primarily on the architectural
definition of the hall that closes the west side of the stage. On the other hand, we had acted
in the annular gallery that sorrounds the stands, particulary in the section that contacts the
pulvinar, which has been ruled out the existence of a system for access from the gallery to
the stands.

The archaeological works held in the former Convent of San Pablo between 1992-
1999 documented a circus and a square that, together with the temple in Claudio
Marcelo Street shaped an important architectural complex in Colonia Patricia
whose closer parallel is the roman provincial forum from Tarraco.
Chronologically the complex of Córdoba was designed during the reign of
Claudius (Temple and Square), the northern steps of circus were built during the
reign of Nero and the works probably finished during the reign of Domitianus.
Finally, the Eastern Circus was destroyed by the end of the 2nd century AD. The
new Western circus, located Southwards present-day Medina Azahara Avenue
determined the location of the Imperial Palace of Cercadilla one century later.

In this paper we tacke the specífic study of one of the buildings that constitute the
«palatial complex» of Cercadilla in Córdoba, Spain: the trichorum situated south of the axis of the
monument. Even though the building was found very leveled, the information we have regarding
its configuration allows us to interprete it as palace tríclinium. From a formal view point, the
building is very closely related -above all with the tricliníum of Piazza Amerina.
